अभ्यास
I. “धनुष यज्ञ” पाठ का सारांश लिखिए :- (Write the summary of the lesson “Dhanush Yagya”)
Dhanush Yagya Saransh
मिथिला के महाराज जनक थे। सीता उनकी पुत्री थी। वह बहुत सुन्दर और सुशील थी। वह विवाह के योग्य बनी। जनक अपनी पुत्री के लिए वीर वर चाहते थे। उनके पास एक पुराना धनुष था। उन्होंने उस धनुष पर डोरी चढ़ानेवाले वीर से सीता का विवाह करने का निर्णय किया।
Janak was the Maharaja of Mithila. Sita was his daughter. She was very beautiful and well-behaved. She became eligible for marriage. Janak wanted a brave groom for his daughter. He had an old bow. He decided to marry Sita to the brave man who could string that bow.
विश्वामित्र राम और लक्ष्मण के साथ जनक के दरबार में गये। राजा जनक ने विश्वामित्र और राजकुमारों का स्वागत किया। विश्वामित्र मुनि ने इन दोनों राजकुमारों का परिचय दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि ये राजकुमार आपका धनुष देखने आये हैं।
Vishwamitra went to Janak’s court with Ram and Lakshman. King Janak welcomed Vishwamitra and the princes. Sage Vishwamitra introduced these two princes. He said that these princes have come to see your bow.
दूसरे दिन बहुत बड़ी सभा हुई। कई लोग मिलकर धनुष ले आये। लेकिन रामचन्द्र ने धनुष को आसानी से उठाकर डोरी खींची तो धनुष के दो टुकड़े हो गये। जनक बहुत खुश हुए और सीता का विवाह धूमधाम से राम के साथ कराया। जनक के भाई की तीन पुत्रियाँ थीं। उनमें भरत का विवाह मांडवी से, लक्ष्मण का विवाह ऊर्मिला से और शत्रुघ्न का विवाह श्रुतकीर्ति से हुआ।
A very large assembly was held the next day. Many people together brought the bow. But when Ramchandra easily lifted the bow and pulled the string, the bow broke into two pieces. Janak was very happy and married Sita to Ram with great pomp. Janak’s brother had three daughters. Among them, Bharat was married to Mandavi, Lakshman to Urmila, and Shatrughna to Shrutakirti.
II. प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए :- (Answer the questions)
(1) महाराज जनक सीता का विवाह किससे करना चाहते थे? (Whom did Maharaja Janak want to marry Sita to?)
उत्तर : महाराज जनक के पास एक धनुष था। वे उसपर डोरी चढ़ानेवाले वीर के साथ सीता का विवाह कराना चाहते थे।
Answer : Maharaja Janak had a bow. He wanted to marry Sita to the brave man who could string it.
(2) भरत, लक्ष्मण और शत्रुघ्न के विवाह किन-किनके साथ हुए? (To whom were Bharat, Lakshman, and Shatrughna married?)
उत्तर : भरत का विवाह मांडवी से, लक्ष्मण का विवाह ऊर्मिला से और शत्रुघ्न का विवाह श्रुतकीर्ति से हुआ।
Answer : Bharat was married to Mandavi, Lakshman to Urmila, and Shatrughna to Shrutakirti.
