I. निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों का उत्तर लिखिए :- (Write the answers to the following questions)
1. इब्राहीम यात्रियों का सत्कार कैसे करता था? (How did Ibrahim welcome the travelers?)
उत्तर : इब्राहीम की झोंपड़ी सड़क के किनारे थी। सड़क पर जानेवाले यात्री लोग उसके घर खटखटाते थे। इब्राहीम उनका उचित सत्कार करता था। खाने से पहले इब्राहीम एक छोटी सी प्रार्थना करता था; यात्री लोग उसे दोहराते थे। इसके बाद सब लोग खाते थे।
Answer : Ibrahim’s hut was by the roadside. Travelers passing on the road used to knock on his door. Ibrahim would welcome them properly. Before eating, Ibrahim would say a small prayer; the travelers would repeat it. After this, everyone would eat.
2. इब्राहीम को क्यों गर्व हो गया? (Why did Ibrahim become proud?)
उत्तर : इब्राहीम गरीब हो जाने के बाद भी यात्रियों का सत्कार करता था। इससे उसको बहुत संतोष मिलता था। लेकिन कुछ समय बाद उसको कुछ गर्व हो गया। वह सोचने लगा कि मेरे धर्म के भगवान की दया से ही मैं सब कुछ करता हूँ। इसलिए मेरा धर्म ही सबसे ऊँचा है।
Answer : Even after becoming poor, Ibrahim used to welcome travelers. He got great satisfaction from this. But after some time, he became somewhat proud. He started thinking that he does everything only by the grace of the God of his religion. Therefore, he felt his religion was the highest.
3. इब्राहीम ने गरीब बूढ़े को क्यों भोजन नहीं दिया? (Why did Ibrahim not give food to the poor old man?)
उत्तर : गरीब बूढ़े यात्री ने इब्राहीम की प्रार्थना को नहीं दोहराया। कारण पूछने पर गरीब बूढ़े ने कहा कि वे अग्नि की पूजा करते हैं। इससे इब्राहीम को गुस्सा हो गया। इसलिए उसने बूढ़े को भोजन नहीं दिया।
Answer : The poor old traveler did not repeat Ibrahim’s prayer. On asking the reason, the poor old man said that he worships fire. This made Ibrahim angry. Therefore, he did not give food to the old man.
4. देवदूत ने क्या कहा और इब्राहीम ने क्यों क्षमा माँगी? (What did the angel say and why did Ibrahim ask for forgiveness?)
उत्तर : देवदूत ने आकर इब्राहीम से कहा कि भगवान सबके लिए एक हैं। यह सुनकर इब्राहीम की आँखें खुली; इसलिए उन्होने बूढ़े के पास जाकर माफी माँगी।
Answer : An angel came and told Ibrahim that God is one for everyone. Hearing this, Ibrahim’s eyes were opened; therefore, he went to the old man and asked for forgiveness.
II. “भगवान सबका एक है” कहानी का सारांश लिखिए :- (Write the summary of the story “God is One for All”)
Bhagwan Sabka Ek Hai Saransh
एक गाँव में इब्राहीम नामक रहमदिल (Mercy hearted) आदमी रहता था। वह आने-जानेवाले यात्रियों को खाना देकर उनकी सेवा करता था। इब्राहीम भोजन के पहले प्रार्थना करता था। उसके साथ भोजन करनेवाले यात्री लोग भी उसे दोहराते थे। इब्राहीम के मन में धीरे-धीरे गर्व हो गया। वह समझने लगा कि उसका धर्म ही सब से अच्छा और बड़ा है।
A kind-hearted man named Ibrahim lived in a village. He served the incoming and outgoing travelers by giving them food. Ibrahim used to pray before meals. The travelers eating with him would also repeat it. Gradually, pride grew in Ibrahim’s mind. He began to think that his religion was the best and the greatest.
एक दिन इब्राहीम के घर एक बूढ़ा आया। भोजन के पहले इब्राहीम ने हमेशा की तरह प्रार्थना की। बूढ़ा अग्नि की पूजा करनेवाला था। इसलिए उसने प्रार्थना नहीं दोहरायी। इससे नाराज़ होकर इब्राहीम ने बूढ़े को घर से निकाल दिया। तब इब्राहीम के सामने एक देवदूत प्रकट हुआ। उसने कहा—“इब्राहीम, तुमने बूढ़े को खाना न देकर बड़ी गलती की, क्योंकि भगवान सब का एक है।”
One day an old man came to Ibrahim’s house. Before the meal, Ibrahim prayed as usual. The old man was a worshiper of fire. Therefore, he did not repeat the prayer. Annoyed by this, Ibrahim turned the old man out of the house. Then an angel appeared before Ibrahim. He said—”Ibrahim, you made a big mistake by not giving food to the old man, because God is one for all.”
देवदूत की बात सुनकर इब्राहीम की आँखें खुलीं। तुरन्त दौड़कर गये और बूढ़े आदमी से माफी माँगी। बूढ़े ने पूछा, क्या अब तुम समझ गये कि भगवान सबका एक है। यह सुनकर इब्राहीम को आश्चर्य हुआ; क्योंकि देवदूत ने भी यही बात कही थी।
Hearing the angel’s words, Ibrahim’s eyes were opened. He immediately ran and apologized to the old man. The old man asked, do you understand now that God is one for all. Ibrahim was surprised to hear this; because the angel had said the same thing.
