1. पुष्प की अभिलाषा (Pushp kee abhilaasha)
मुझे तोड़ लेना वनमाली
उस पथ पर देना तुम फेंक,
मातृभूमि पर शीश चढ़ाने
जिस पथ जावें वीर अनेक ।
संदर्भ :- यह पद्यांश ‘पुष्प की अभिलाषा’ नामक कविता से लिया गया है । इस कविता के कवि हैं श्री माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी ।
भावार्थ :- फूल माली से कहता है कि उसे तोड़कर उस रास्ते में फेंक देना , जहाँ महान शूरवीरों ने मातृभूमि की रक्षा के लिए अपना सर्वस्व त्याग दिया । आगे अपनी इच्छा प्रकट करते हुए फूल कहता है कि वह उन शूरवीरों के पाँवों में पड़कर अपने आपको गर्वीला महसूस करता है ।

संदर्भ :- यह पद्यांश ‘ एक बूँद’ नामक कविता से लिया गया है । इस कविता के कवि हैं श्री अयोध्या सिंह उपाध्याय ‘ हरिऔध ‘|
भावार्थ :- बादलों की गोदी में से निकलकर एक बूंद ने भगवान से पूछा कि उसके भाग्य में क्या लिखा है ? वह बाहर निकलकर बच पायेगी या धूल में मिलकर मिट जायेगी? उसे मालूम नहीं कि वह अंगारे में पड़कर जल जायेगी या कमल के फूल के दलों पर गिर पड़ेगी? उसके नसीब में क्या लिखा है?

भावार्थ : – इन पंक्तियों में कवि यह कहना चाहते हैं कि लोग अपना घर छोड़कर बाहर निकलते समय हिचकते हैं डरते हैं । लेकिन उनको डरने की आवश्यक्ता नहीं है क्योंकि उनको यह विश्वास होना चाहिए कि वे इस बूंद की तरह अच्छी जगह जाकर समाहित हो सकते हैं ।

संदर्भ : – यह पद्यांश ‘ ऐ मालिक तेरे बन्दे हम ‘ नामक कविता से लिया गया है । इस कविता के कवि हैं श्री भरत व्यास ।
भावार्थ : – कवि भगवान से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि सब जगह अंधेरा छा गया है और मनुष्य डर के मारे कुछ सोच नहीं पाता , उसे कुछ नहीं दिखता । जीवन का सुख मिटता जा रहा है । वह भगवान से प्रार्थना करता है कि भगवान अपनी शक्ति से इस अमावस्या रूपी अंधेरापन को पूर्णिमा में बदल दें । अंधकार को रोशनी में बदल दें ।
