Hello students, I have shared Vishwamitra ka Yagya – विश्वामित्र का यज्ञ saransh and question–answers in Hindi and English.

अभ्यास

I. “विश्वामित्र का यज्ञ” पाठ का सारांश लिखिए :- (Write the summary of the lesson “Vishwamitra’s Yagya”)

Vishwamitra ka Yagya Saransh

विश्वामित्र बड़े तपस्वी और क्रोधी थे। सब लोग उनसे डरते थे। एक दिन वे दशरथ के दरबार में आये और बोले, “मैं बहुत बड़ा यज्ञ कर रहा हूँ। राक्षस आकर यज्ञ को बिगाड़ देते हैं। यज्ञ की रक्षा के लिए राम और लक्ष्मण को मेरे साथ भेजिए।”

Vishwamitra was a great ascetic and was very short-tempered. Everyone was afraid of him. One day he came to Dasharatha’s court and said, “I am performing a very large Yagya (sacrifice). Demons come and disrupt the Yagya. Send Ram and Lakshman with me to protect the Yagya.”

विश्वामित्र की बात सुनकर राजा दशरथ घबरा गये। राम और लक्ष्मण को उनके साथ भेजने दशरथ तैयार नहीं थे। लेकिन गुरु वशिष्ठ के कहने पर दशरथ राम और लक्ष्मण को विश्वामित्र के साथ भेजने राजी हुए।

Hearing Vishwamitra’s words, King Dasharatha became nervous. Dasharatha was not ready to send Ram and Lakshman with him. But at the instance of Guru Vashishtha, Dasharatha agreed to send Ram and Lakshman with Vishwamitra.

राम और लक्ष्मण को लेकर विश्वामित्र वन गये। यज्ञ को बिगाड़ने के लिए कई राक्षस आये। राम और लक्ष्मण ने उन राक्षसों को मार डाला। विश्वामित्र का यज्ञ पूरा हुआ। वे राम और लक्ष्मण की वीरता से खुश हुए। उन्होंने उन दोनों को युद्ध की कई कलाएँ सिखायीं।

Vishwamitra went to the forest with Ram and Lakshman. Many demons came to disrupt the Yagya. Ram and Lakshman killed those demons. Vishwamitra’s Yagya was completed. He was pleased with the bravery of Ram and Lakshman. He taught them many arts of warfare.

II. प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए :- (Answer the questions)

(1) सब लोग विश्वामित्र से क्यों डरते थे? (Why was everyone afraid of Vishwamitra?)
उत्तर : विश्वामित्र बड़े तपस्वी और गरम स्वभाव के थे। इसलिए सब लोग उनसे डरते थे।
Answer : Vishwamitra was a great ascetic and had a hot temper. Therefore, everyone was afraid of him.

(2) राम और लक्ष्मण ने वन में क्या किया? (What did Ram and Lakshman do in the forest?)
उत्तर : राम और लक्ष्मण ने वन में राक्षसों को मार डाला।
Answer : Ram and Lakshman killed the demons in the forest.
