I. “राम का वनवास” पाठ का सारांश लिखिए :- (Write the summary of the lesson “Ram’s Exile”)
Ram ka Vanvas Saransh
राजा दशरथ शाम को कैकेयी के महल में गये । कैकेयी ने गंदी साड़ी पहनी थी । उसके चेहरे पर क्रोध प्रकट हो रहा था ।
King Dasharatha went to Kaikeyi’s palace in the evening. Kaikeyi was wearing a dirty saree. Anger was visible on her face.
राजा दशरथ ने कैकेयी से दुख का कारण पूछा । कैकेयी ने कहा- “एक बार आपने मुझे दो वर देने का वादा किया था । आज आपसे दोनों वर माँगनेवाली हूँ । एक वर से राम के लिए चौदह साल का वनवास चाहती हूँ और दूसरे वर से भरत का राजतिलक।”
King Dasharatha asked Kaikeyi the reason for her sorrow. Kaikeyi said- “Once you promised to give me two boons. Today I am going to ask for both boons from you. With one boon I want fourteen years of exile for Ram and with the second boon the coronation of Bharat.”
कैकेयी की बात सुनकर महाराज दशरथ बेहोश हो गये । होश में आने के बाद उन्होंने कहा- “भरत को युवराज बना दूँगा । लेकिन राम को वन मत भेजो । मैं उसके बिना जीवित नहीं रह सकता।” पर कैकेयी ने दशरथ की एक बात भी न सुनी । कैकेयी की निर्दयता देखकर महाराज दशरथ फिर से बेहोश हो गये । दूसरे दिन राम को यह समाचार मिला । उन्होंने पिताजी की आज्ञा का पालन करने का निश्चय किया । राम सब माताओं से मिले और उनका आशीर्वाद लिया । राम के साथ उनकी पत्नी सीता और भाई लक्ष्मण भी वल्कल पहनकर वन की ओर निकल पड़े । यह दृश्य बड़ा ही दुखदायक था ।
Hearing Kaikeyi’s words, Maharaj Dasharatha fainted. After regaining consciousness, he said- “I will make Bharat the crown prince. But do not send Ram to the forest. I cannot live without him.” But Kaikeyi did not listen to even one thing Dasharatha said. Seeing Kaikeyi’s cruelty, Maharaj Dasharatha fainted again. The next day Ram received this news. He decided to follow his father’s command. Ram met all the mothers and took their blessings. Along with Ram, his wife Sita and brother Lakshman also put on bark clothes and set out toward the forest. This scene was very painful.
II. प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए :- (Answer the questions)
(1) कैकेयी का दूसरा वर क्या था? (What was Kaikeyi’s second boon?)
उत्तर : कैकेयी का दूसरा वर था कि राम तपस्वी के वेश में चौदह वर्ष वन में रहें ।
Answer : Kaikeyi’s second boon was that Ram should stay in the forest for fourteen years in the guise of an ascetic.
(2) महाराज दशरथ क्यों बेहोश हो गये? (Why did Maharaj Dasharatha faint?)
उत्तर : कैकेयी के निर्दयतापूर्ण बात से महाराज दशरथ बेहोश हो गये ।
Answer : Maharaj Dasharatha fainted due to Kaikeyi’s cruel words.
