In every leaf is Your green colour, in the henna is Your red glow. Wherever we look in the world, we see Your miracle, O Lord of the forest. Without any string they hang, There are no scissors in Your hand, Who till today has understood |
अभ्यास
I. निम्नलिखित पद्यांश का भावार्थ हिंदी में लिखिए
Write the meaning of the following passage in Hindi
- “कैंची नहीं हाथ में तेरे
कटी पत्तियाँ न्यारी हैं।
रंग नहीं हाथों में तेरे
फूल रंगे बलिहारी हैं।।”
संदर्भ :- यह पद्यांश ‘अद्भुत माया’ नामक कविता से लिया गया है। इस कविता में कवि भगवान की अद्भुत माया के बारे में बताते हैं।
भावार्थ :- इन पंक्तियों में कवि कहते हैं कि, ‘हे भगवान, तुम्हारे हाथ में कैंची नहीं है, लेकिन पत्तों को कैसे इतने सुंदर रूप में काटा ? तुम्हारे हाथ में कोई रंग नहीं हैं, फिर कैसे इन फूलों को तुमने इतने आकर्षक रंग दिए ?’
कवि भगवान की अद्भुत माया देखकर आश्चर्य चकित हो जाते हैं।
Context – This passage is taken from the poem “Adbhut Maya”. In this poem, the poet describes the wonderful miracles of God.
Explanation – In these lines, the poet says: “O God, You have no scissors in Your hand, yet You have shaped the leaves so beautifully. You have no colours in Your hands, yet You have given such attractive colours to the flowers.”
The poet is astonished at this marvellous power of God.

1. तारे आकाश में कैसे लटक रहे हैं ? (How are the stars hanging in the sky?)
उत्तर : तारे आकाश में बिना किसी रस्सी के लटक रहे हैं।
Answer – The stars are hanging in the sky without any rope.
2. वंशी वृक्ष कैसे बजा रहे हैं ? (How are the bamboo trees playing music?)
उत्तर : वंशी वृक्ष प्राण के बिना भी बजा रहे हैं।
Answer – The bamboo trees are playing like flutes even though they have no life.
3. वनमाली की करामत क्या-क्या हैं ? (What miracles of God are shown here?)
उत्तर : वनमाली यानी भगवान की करामत अद्भुत है। उनकी अद्भुत माया के कारण कहीं सूरज की किरणें चमकती हैं और कहीं रात की तरह छाया है।
Answer – God’s miracles are wonderful. Because of His marvellous power, at some places the sun’s rays shine brightly, and at other places there is darkness like night.

‘अद्भुत माया’ नामक कविता में कवि भगवान की अद्भुत लीलाओं के बारे में बताते हैं। कवि कहते हैं, भगवान पेड़ के पत्तों में हरा रंग देते हैं; भगवान ही मेहंदी में लाल रंग देते हैं। संसार में जहाँ भी देखिए, वहाँ भगवान की लीला है।
In the poem “Adbhut Maya,” the poet talks about God’s wonderful acts. God gives the green colour to the leaves and the red colour to the henna. Wherever we look in the world, we can see God’s play.
आकाश में अनेक उज्ज्वल नक्षत्र बिना किसी रस्सी के लटक रहे हैं। वन के अनेक वंशी वृक्ष, प्राण के बिना भी संगीत देते हैं।
In the sky, many bright stars hang without any rope. In the forest, many bamboo trees give music like flutes even though they have no life.
हे भगवान, तुम्हारे हाथ में कैंची नहीं हैं, लेकिन पत्तों को कैसे इतने सुंदर रूप में काटा ? तुम्हारे हाथ में कोई रंग नहीं हैं, फिर कैसे इन फूलों को तुमने इतने आकर्षक रंग दिये ?
The poet wonders: “O God, You have no scissors in Your hand, yet how have You shaped the leaves so beautifully? You have no colours in Your hands, yet how have You given such attractive colours to the flowers?”
भगवान की अद्भुत माया को देखकर हमें आश्चर्य होता है । कवि कहते हैं, हे भगवान, आज तक कोई भी तुम्हारी अद्भुत माया के संबंध में नहीं जान सका । अचानक आग की तरह धूप का प्रकाश है और कहीं रात जैसी छाया है ।
Seeing God’s marvellous power, we are filled with wonder. The poet says that till today no one has fully understood this amazing magic of God. Somewhere sunlight blazes like fire, and somewhere else there is deep shade like the night.
